Kill (2024) Shanks the shit out of Bop!

Bollywood movies are an acquired taste. If you like hot chicks, Bollywood movies have you covered. They blow away any Hollywood actress in the looks department. However, if you don’t like singing and dancing actresses you are fucked. Most Bollywood movies contain singing and dancing, but times seem too have changed. Akshay Kumar was considered an action star at one time and then along came Vidyut Jammwal, who took things to the next level with his Commando movies and kept the singing and dancing to a minimum. India finally had an action genre if you ask me, but people can correct me if I am wrong.

Kill, however, was something I would not have checked out, if the weather wasn’t shitty and I felt lazy. and I found a review on The Action Elite, a site I highly recommend if you are looking for reviews on action movies most sites would never review. Action Elite said it was a violent movie and probably one of the best action movies of the year. He was not exaggerating.

Kill blew me away. After the movie I was tired. That is the way, I want to feel after a movie. A movie that sucks me in, keeps me on the edge of my seat and doesn’t let go, so that at the end I am tired.

Kill gives The Night Comes For Us a run for its money in the violence department and  Kill gives The Raid a run for its money in the action department. Or just shortly said : “Kill is one of the best action movies ever.” I don’t know the actor Lakshya, but that guy definitely put himself on the map with just one action movie. And his co-star, Abhishek Chauhan, whom I also don’t know, wasn’t a slouch either.

Kill is batshit crazy, violent and evidence that everyone with passion for action movies can make something great. Most of the movie takes part on a train, that is invaded by thug scum and you would think :”How can you do action in a train, which has a small space?” Kill answers that question and will fuck you up. That movie has no mercy I can tell you. Fist fights, knife fights, violence. You name it, it has it.

I was totally blown away by this movie and the ending gave me a lump in my throat. This is the action movie of the year so far. I don’t think it will be surpassed.

Lakshya and Abhishek Chauhan have a great future ahead of them. I hope all the established action stars will work with them. They earned that right without a shadow of a doubt. This was a masterclass of action.
